USA Lacrosse has named Steve DiPietro, boys’ head coach at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, N.Y. as recipient of the organization’s 2024 Gerald J. Carroll, Jr. Exemplary Coaching Award.

LOS ANGELES – The Stadium in Exposition Park was today announced as the lacrosse venue for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the Stadium in Exposition Park is a world-class venue known for its dynamic atmosphere and exceptional fan experience. The stadium will provide a stunning stage for the return of lacrosse as a medal sport in the Olympic Games for the first time in over a century.

USA Lacrosse has named John Schlie of Mars, Pa. as winner of the organization’s 2024 Youth Coach of the Year Award, given to an outstanding youth coach who embodies the characteristics of an ideal coach, dedicating himself to the players and providing the best possible lacrosse experience for everyone.  

The award winner is selected from among all nominations submitted and is an individual who thoroughly embodies the mission and vision of USA Lacrosse.

SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse is proud to announce that Gait Lacrosse will serve as an Official Equipment Partner of the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP). The NTDP serves as a pipeline to the U.S. National Teams with more than 1,500 middle and high school players participating at various stages through the year.

USA Lacrosse has named Miranda Menousek, a high school student from Omaha, Nebraska, as winner of the organization’s 2024 Emerging Leader Award, which honors a young adult who has unselfishly given their time and talent to help grow and build lacrosse awareness.  

The award winner is selected from among all nominations submitted and is an individual who thoroughly embodies the mission and vision of USA Lacrosse.

USA Lacrosse is backing an effort to have high school lacrosse added as a sanctioned sport in the state of Nevada. The Las Vegas Desert Dogs and Nevada State Senator Fabian Doñate introduced legislation — Senate Bill 305 — to the Nevada Senate Committee on Education on Monday, March 17. A final decision from the committee is due by mid-April.

Marc Riccio, CEO of USA Lacrosse, and Caitlin Kelley, Senior Director of Sport Administration for USA Lacrosse, are scheduled to offer testimony to the committee.

UCLA and Denver Club are the top-ranked teams in the newest WCLA Division I and II Top 20 rankings, released today.

The Bruins (9-0) are the defending D-I champions and have held the top spot in the Division I poll since the preseason, while Denver (4-1) jumped three spots this week to claim the number one D-II ranking for the first time this season.
