SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the 23-player U.S. Men’s National Team roster that will compete against rival Canada and NCAA semifinalist Penn State at the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic taking place Oct. 13-15 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
The U.S. roster includes six members of the 2023 U.S. Men’s National Training Team — Grant Ament, Justin Anderson (pictured), Jack Hannah, Asher Nolting, Mike Sisselberger and Logan Wisnauskas — as well as 2022 U.S. Men’s U21 National Team co-captain Cole Kirst.
Four Kirst brothers played for the U.S. Men’s Box National Team this past weekend at the North American Invitational, leading USA White to the LAXNAI championship. Three of them will be in red, white and blue again at the Fall Classic, with Colin Kirst and Connor Kirst joining Cole on the roster.
The other players with national team experience are Mac O’Keefe (2016 U.S. Men’s U19 National Team) and Jackson Bonitz (2022 U.S. Men’s U21 National Team). A senior defenseman at Navy, Bonitz is the only current collegian on the U.S. roster. Jared Conners played in the 2021 Fall Classic.
Ament, Conners, O’Keefe and Sisselberger recently won the Premier Lacrosse League championship with Archers LC. Connor Maher, whose clutch end line dive late in the fourth quarter helped secure the 15-14 win over Waterdogs LC in the Sept. 25 final, also will suit up for the U.S.
Tickets are on sale for the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic. The three-day event features the U.S. and Canadian men’s senior teams and women’s U20 teams, reigning NCAA women’s champion Northwestern, NCAA men’s semifinalist Penn State, the USA Select U16 and U18 boys’ and girls’ teams and high school-aged teams from the Haudenosaunee Nation and Ontario.
