Streaming Details and More from 2023 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic

By USA Lacrosse Staff

SPARKS, Md. — As the sport’s Olympic dream moves closer to reality, USA Lacrosse is excited to host international competition this weekend for its annual Fall Classic.

Earlier this week, the LA28 Organizing Committee recommended that lacrosse be included in the program from the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The International Olympic Committee will vote on the recommendations on Monday in India.

Before that vote takes place, USA Lacrosse welcomes top international competition from Canada and the Haudenosaunee Nation along with two of the best college programs in the country — Penn State (men) and Northwestern (women).

The three-day event takes place both at USA Lacrosse National Headquarters in Sparks, Md., and at the Gilman School in Baltimore. A total of 30 games will be played over the course of the weekend, with more than a dozen streamed live on the USA Lacrosse YouTube channel with Glenn Clark, Kenny DeJohn and Monika Moore calling the action.

The U.S. Women’s U20 Training Team is preparing for the 2024 World Championship in Hong Kong, and will play formal competition for the first time since the roster was announced when it meets Canada’s U20 team on Friday at 5 pm at USA Lacrosse. Both teams will also play reigning NCAA champion Northwestern on Saturday.

The U.S. Men’s National Team begins its next chapter after winning the gold medal this past summer at the World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in San Diego. The U.S. roster will feature past training team members Asher Nolting, Mike Sisselberger and Logan Wisnauskas along with past USA U19 or U21 world champions Jackson Bonitz, Cole Kirst and Mac O’Keefe. The U.S. plays Canada on Friday night and both teams play 2023 NCAA semifinalist Penn State on Saturday.

The USA Select U16 and U18 teams will be competing all weekend against teams from Ontario and the Haudenosaunee Nation for the Brogden Cup. Games get underway on Friday afternoon with Ontario and the Haudenosaunee’s U18 teams playing the afternoon at USA Lacrosse headquarters. All teams will be in action on Saturday at the Gilman School and then the competition wraps up on Sunday at USA Lacrosse with the awarding of the Brogden Cup.
