The U.S. women won their first world championship in the sixes discipline when they captured gold at The World Games in 2025 in Chengdu, China.
Officially launched in 2021, sixes is a new discipline of the sport that was developed with the Olympics in mind. That vision became reality when lacrosse was selected for inclusion in the LA28 Olympics. The fast-paced game will give lacrosse a platform never seen before in the sport's history.

Marie McCool
