10-time world champions
The U.S. women won a record fifth-straight championship when they defeated Canada 16-4 in the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Tokyo. Ally Kennedy was named the tournament's MVP.
The championship was a record 10th for the U.S. team program since the inaugural championship in 1982. Former gold medalist Acacia Walker-Weinstein led the U.S. to the victory as head coach. The U.S. has now won 36 consecutive world championship matches dating back to 2009, the year Walker-Weinstein played on the U.S. squad.
