Founded in 1998, USA Lacrosse, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is officially certified by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the sport in the United States.

Collaboration is something the organization was built upon. We were established in 1998 as US Lacrosse following the merger of eight national lacrosse organizations, mostly volunteer-run, to help bring more resources to the sport. In 2021, the organization's name was rebranded to USA Lacrosse.

Today, USA Lacrosse serves almost 420,000 members and we have has invested nearly $400 million into in the sport's development since our inception. We're ready to do even more. Join us

A volunteer Board of Directors sets USA Lacrosse's policy and strategic priorities. Directors are supported by board committees, subcommittees, and task forces covering governance, national teams, sport science and safety, and diversity, equity, inclusion and opportunity, among other areas.

USA Lacrosse acknowledges that our national headquarters was constructed on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of Native nations and communities. Since its founding in 1998, USA Lacrosse has gone through several looks and even our name change from US Lacrosse to USA Lacrosse in 2021. The original logo debuted in 1998 following the merger of several national lacrosse organizations. The interlocked logo was adopted in 2003 and remained in place until the rebranding to USA Lacrosse in 2021. The national teams, which had used the logos on the far right since 2010, also switched to the singular USA Lacrosse logo in 2021.
