SPARKS, Md. – The USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament, one of the longest-running events in the sport, is heading to Amherst, Mass., from May 24-25, 2025. The National Tournament dates to 1933 and has evolved into one of the nation’s marquee recruiting events for high school girls’ lacrosse players.
Players are selected for the National Tournament following a series of regional tryouts throughout the country. Last year’s event featured more than 1,000 players from 27 states representing over 50 regional teams. Tryouts for the teams will begin in early 2025, but individuals from grades 9 through 11 can submit a player interest form to ensure they receive the latest information.
This year’s event will be held at the Boyden Fields on the campus of the University of Massachusett-Amherst over Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship will also be held in Massachusetts that weekend with games on Friday and Sunday in Foxboro, Mass.
The Massachusetts/Rhode Island region has been dominant in recent National Tournaments, winning the top division in four of the last six years. This year they’ll get to play on home turf after winning last year’s title in North Carolina.
