SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse is proud to once again work with Shootout for Soldiers, a nonprofit
organization powered by Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) using lacrosse as a platform to support
American veterans and foster community engagement. As part of the renewed partnership, USA
Lacrosse will shine light on the organization’s efforts that have raised more than $4 million to support
military veterans over the last decade.
USA Lacrosse will help promote Shootout for Soldiers 2021 lacrosse events which begin on July 22 on
Long Island. These 24-hour lacrosse games bring together players from multiple age groups and genders
in communities around the country for a united cause.
“Shootout for Soldiers, powered by Team RWB, is proud to announce that we have reignited our strong
partnership with USA Lacrosse after the pandemic caused the cancellation of most sporting events in
2020,” said Erik Mineo, Shootout for Soldiers Program Manager. “USA Lacrosse’s commitment to fuel
the sport’s growth and enrich the experience of participants is a perfect match for Shootout for Soldiers’
unique and engaging 24-hour fundraising event that fosters community engagement and supports those
who served our nation.”Shootout For Soldiers will also host 2021 events in Canandaigua, N.Y. (July 24-25) and Baltimore (Aug. 10-11).
USA Lacrosse has assisted Shootout for Soldiers events over the years through its media properties and
marketing efforts. In 2019 events, more than $800,000 was raised in support of the nation’s military
veterans with USA Lacrosse’s support.
Shootout for Soldiers educates the community about the challenges veterans’ face, engages civilian and
military communities by fostering empathy and understanding, and amplifies the work of leading
nonprofits with funding for their programs, projects, and operations.
