USA Lacrosse Announces New Regional Academy in Connecticut

SPARKS, Md. — Registration is now open for a new USA Lacrosse Regional Academy in Connecticut, January 18-19, 2025, offering professional development opportunities for coaches at all levels of the game.

The USA Lacrosse Academy in Connecticut will be held at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and is open to both USA Lacrosse members and non-members.

The Regional Academy is designed to offer an intimate educational opportunity curated to provide coaches with practical insight and x's and o's instruction from top collegiate and club coaches.

Attendees will hear from a range of accomplished coaches covering core components of both the men’s and women’s games to help prepare them for the upcoming 2025 season. Among the scheduled speakers are:

Men's Game Coaches

▪ Andrew Baxter, Head Coach, Fairfield University
▪ Jonathan Basti, Head Coach, Scared Heart University
▪ Jason Tarnow, Head Coach, Trinity College
▪ Casey D'Annolfo, Head Coach, Tufts University
▪ Ken McCarthy, Head Coach, Somers High School
▪ Eric Dunne, Head Coach, Farmingdale (NY) High School

Women's Game Coaches
▪ Dee Stephan, Assistant Coach, University of Hartford
▪ Alice Lee, Head Coach, Williams College
▪ Erica Bamford, Head Coach, Yale University
 ▪Amanda Belichick, Head Coach, College of Holy Cross

Registration includes lunch on Saturday as well as an attendees’ social and networking event on Saturday evening.

The Connecticut event is the third USA Lacrosse Regional Academy being offered in the 2024-25 cycle. Two other events are scheduled for December 7-8: an in-person academy in Denver and a virtual-only event in Dallas.
