Training Squad Named for 2025 U.S. Men's U20 Team

By Brian Logue

SPARKS, Md. – Following a three-day tryout that wrapped up Sunday morning at USA Lacrosse headquarters, head coach Shawn Nadelen named 42 players to the initial training team for the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship. The event will be held next summer in Seoguipo, South Korea on Jeju Island from July 18-27, 2025.

“The competition, coachability and comradery you guys showed was tremendous,” Nadelen said at the tryout’s conclusion. “You made our jobs in selecting the group that moved forward extremely fun and very challenging.”

Nadelen emphasized that all of the tryout candidates will remain in the player pool with the opportunity to attend future training opportunities.

“We’re leaving room down the road for players that continue to put in the work the rest of the summer and the fall,” Nadelen said.

The 42 players announced have all been invited to a training camp later this summer at USA Lacrosse headquarters from Aug. 19-21.

Here’s the full list of players named to the training team:
