Rules Interpretation Offers Clarifications on the 2025 Boys’ Youth Rules

By USA Lacrosse Press Release

USA Lacrosse has released a new rules interpretation document that summarizes the boys’ youth rule changes and points of emphasis for the 2025 season. The PDF document was developed to help prepare and educate the lacrosse community to the rule changes and is available here as a free download.

Key sections in the presentation include:

- 2025 clarifications of editorial changes made in the rulebook
- Explanation of major differences between high school rules and youth rules
- Links to additional rules resources

The Rules Interpretation document is intended for educational purposes and as a supplementary resource to facilitate understanding of the 2025 boys' youth lacrosse rules. The document is not intended as a substitute for reading and studying the official rulebook.

Additional rules resources are also available on the USA Lacrosse website, including rules comparison charts, uniform guidelines, FAQs, and youth lacrosse guidebooks. These resources can be accessed at www.usalacrosse.com/boys-and-mens-rules.

USA Lacrosse works collaboratively with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the NCAA to write the rules for lacrosse, and the organizations often work together on rule development and player safety efforts.
