After a successful run in 2021, the USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals are returning to DE Turf in Frederica, Del., in 2022. This event will be for girls’ programs only again this year, with potential to expand to include boys’ teams in future years. Applications for next year’s tournament, comprised of 13U, 14U and 15U girls’ teams from the country, are now being accepted for the event which will take place from July 12-13, 2022.
For the second consecutive year, USA Lacrosse will partner with STEPS Lacrosse and Top of the Bay Lacrosse to conduct the event. The USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals were first held in 2009 and have featured some of the top youth players in the country over the years.
There was no shortage of talent last year with a record 80 teams competing. PRIDE 2026 Red (Va.), Yellow Jackets Spallina (N.Y.) and Monster Elite Lacrosse (N.Y.) won the championships at the 13U, 14U and 15U age groupings, respectively.
“The USA Youth Nationals in 2021 was a resounding success,” said Charlie Shoulberg of STEPS Lacrosse. “The competition and camaraderie exemplified on and off the field was impressive to say the least. We are thrilled to once again partner with USA Lacrosse for the 2022 event and look forward to creating lifelong memories for all participants.”

The features that really made the event special, including the championship games televised on Lax Sport Network and the Team USA presence, are pieces that you can not find anywhere else and make the USA Youth Nationals one of the most exciting events of the summer.”
Up to 96 teams will be participating in the 2022 edition of the USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals, with 32 spots open for each age group (13U, 14U and 15U). Teams are invited to submit an application to attend the tournament. The USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals Selection Committee will review all of the applications and spots will be granted based on historical performance over the past two years of tournament play.
