Background
There is no higher honor in the sport than representing your country in international competition. The following rosters are from U.S. women's teams that have played in World Lacrosse (and its predecessors from the FIL and IFWLA) championships in field lacrosse at the U19 and U20 age groupings.
Rosters (1995-2024)
1995
The U.S. captured the silver medal in the inaugural IFWLA U19 world championship, falling 5-4 in the championship game in Haverford, Pa.
1999
The U.S. went Down Under to capture its first U19 world championship, beating the host Aussies 15-8 in the championship game in Perth, Australia.
2003
The U.S. dominated the competition during a combined boys' and girls' U19 world championship event at Towson (Md.) University.
2007
The U.S. went north to Peterborough, Ontario, and cruised to its third straight world championship, winning all of its games by at least 10 goals.
2011
The U.S. made it four world championships in a row, defeating Australia 14-11 in the gold medal game in Hanover, Germany.
2015
The U.S. came home from Scotland with a silver medal after dropping a tough 9-8 decision to Canada in the gold medal game.
2019
The U.S. reclaimed the gold medal, beating host Canada 13-3 in Peterborough, Ontario. The U.S. defense allowed just 20 goals in seven games.
2024
The 2024 U.S. Women's U20 National Team was the most dominant team on any level of international competition. The team outscored its opponents 211-20 in Hong Kong, China.
