The Boston University defense is the best in the nation. The Terriers have allowed just 38 goals in five games (7.60 per game), and they are one of the few undefeated teams left across the country.

Last weekend, long-stick midfielder Roy Meyer was at the heart of the latest defensive masterpiece. Boston U held Bucknell to just two second-half goals, and Meyer produced five caused turnovers and four ground balls in the 12-7 win. He is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Men’s Player of the Week for his efforts.

Meyer has been a caused turnover machine, compiling 18 on the season and 13 in the last three games alone. A junior, Meyer started all 11 games last year and led the team with 26 caused turnovers — a total he appears primed to eclipse.
