BOSTON, MA - It’s every professional sports team's goal to win a championship, and this week several MLL teams can take the first step in that journey by clinching a spot in the MLL Playoffs. The Boston Cannons, Chesapeake Bayhawks, and Atlanta Blaze can all clinch a spot in the playoffs with wins and some help this weekend.

1. New York Lizards Eliminated from Playoff Contention with a loss against the Denver Outlaws (8/24)

2. Boston Cannons Clinch a playoff spot with a win against the Dallas Rattlers (8/24) and a Dallas loss to the Chesapeake Bayhawks (8/25)

3. The Atlanta Blaze Clinch a playoff spot with a win against the Chesapeake Bayhawks and a Dallas Rattlers loses against the Boston Cannons (8/24) and the Chesapeake Bayhawks (8/25)

4. The Chesapeake Bayhawks Clinch a playoff spot with wins against the Atlanta Blaze (8/24) and the Dallas Rattlers (8/25)

OR

The Chesapeake Bayhawks Clinch a playoff spot with a win against the Dallas Rattlers (8/25) and a Boston Cannons win over the Dallas Rattlers (8/24)

Note: The final scenario can include a Chesapeake loss to the Atlanta Blaze (8/24) 

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Atlanta Blaze: Should the Blaze qualify for the playoffs, it will be Atlanta’s first playoff appearance in franchise history. 

Boston Cannons: Should the Cannons qualify for the postseason, it will be their first playoff appearance since 2015. 

Chesapeake Bayhawks: Should the Bayhawks qualify for the playoffs, it will be the second consecutive playoff appearance for Chesapeake.

New York Lizards: Should the Lizards be eliminated, it will be the first time they have missed the playoffs since 2017.
