Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Pat Spencer leapt at the goal line and landed on “SportsCenter.” Again.

Loyola’s senior attackman and Tewaaraton favorite has been the talk of the lacrosse community since the season started, and the buzz won’t likely end anytime soon after he did this during the top-ranked Greyhounds’ 13-7 win over Rutgers on Saturday.

2. Early-season turbulence in Division I men’s lacrosse continued, with three top-10 teams suffering defeats Saturday. Granted, one of them was No. 2 Penn State, which battled valiantly against defending NCAA champion Yale in the most anticipated game of the weekend. But TD Ierlan was too good, overpowering Gerard Arceri and leading the No. 6 Bulldogs to a 14-13 victory.

In other notable results, host Richmond upset No. 5 Notre Dame 9-8, the Spiders’ fifth win over a ranked team in the program’s young history, while Johns Hopkins upended No. 7 North Carolina 11-10 at muddy Kenan Stadium, the Blue Jays’ first win over the season.

Roundups: Friday | Saturday | Sunday

3. Women’s lacrosse was even wackier this weekend. Five of the top 10 teams in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20 went down.

No. 3 North Carolina can be forgiven. The Tar Heels again stood toe to toe with No. 2 Maryland in the weekend’s marquee matchup Sunday. Kali Hartshorn tied the game with a magnificent spinning backhand rocket and then Caroline Steele converted on a low bouncer off right off the draw in the second overtime period to send the Terps to a 13-12 victory in the latest iteration of the rivalry.

Perhaps more notably Sunday, red-hot Denver got off to a scorching start and then held off No. 5 Stony Brook for an 11-7 victory — the No. 12 Pioneers’ first-ever win over a top-five team — while US Lacrosse Magazine cover girl Emily Hawryschuk punctuated a late Syracuse comeback as the No. 8 Orange defeated No. 7 Northwestern 15-14 in overtime.

A day earlier, No. 4 Florida and No. 10 Princeton suffered defeats at the hands of No. 20 Loyola and No. 13 Virginia, respectively. Expect some substantial shuffling when the new rankings come out today. Wes

Roundups: Friday | Saturday | Sunday

4. The Buffalo Bandits enter the bye week with a 9-2 record, matching the best start in franchise history and rewarding the organization’s faith in general manager Steve Dietrich. Buffalo defeated Rochester 16-9, Saskatchewan moved into first place in the West with a 9-7 win over Colorado, and New England ended Toronto’s six-game winning streak. Catch up on all the National Lacrosse League action in Jack Good’s NLL Week 11 notebook.

5. The Premier Lacrosse League announced Friday the second site of its inaugural tour. The nascent league co-founded by Paul Rabil will play at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., home of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls, June 8-9 and return there for the league playoffs Sept. 14.
