The WCLA exists to grow women’s lacrosse nationwide — on the field and beyond it. That mission comes to life in three ways:

• Providing Structure: a competitive framework where collegiate club programs across the country compete for a national championship.
• Developing Leaders: leadership opportunities at the local, regional, and national level.
• Building Community: encouraging members to give back as umpires, coaches, and post-collegiate players — strengthening the sport’s future.

The Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates is USA Lacrosse’s home for non-varsity, club-level women’s collegiate lacrosse. That connection to the national governing body gives every WCLA program direct access to insurance coverage, competitive standards, and a nationwide network — the same infrastructure that supports the sport at every level.

Every WCLA team is a USA Lacrosse member program. This includes built-in insurance coverage, game-day resources, and a direct line to a nationwide lacrosse community. WCLA programs receive sanctioned media coverage and hands-on support from the USA Lacrosse WCLA subcommittee, so teams can focus on competing, not logistics. 

Each year USA Lacrosse hosts the WCLA National Championship. This includes finding a venue, securing fields, bringing on partners, production and filming for the entire event, and more.
