William K. Morrill

Morrill was born in Baltimore in 1937 and attended Baltimore Friends School, graduating in 1955. He received an BA degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1959 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1962. At Friends, he won four varsity high school letters in lacrosse and was selected first team All-Maryland attack in 1953, 1954 and 1955. Friends won the MSA championship in 1954. 

At Johns Hopkins, he played on the undefeated freshman team in 1956, and then became a three-time first team All-American under legendary coach Bob Scott. The 1957 team was undefeated and won the national intercollegiate championship. The 1958 team was undefeated in college games but the USILA committee awarded the national championship to Army. The 1959 team lost one game and shared the national championship with Maryland and Army. As a senior in 1959, Morrill had 50 goals, 25 assists and 75 points in 10 games. His 5.0 goals per game and 7.5 points per game remain single-season records at Johns Hopkins. Morrill finished his varsity career with 107 points, 67 assists, and 174 total points. He holds JHU career records with 3.8 goals per game and 6.2 points per game. 

After graduating from Harvard Business School, Morrill spent most of his career as managing director of an investment management firm specializing in publicly traded real estate investments for persion funds. His father, William Kelso Morrill, Sr., and his son, Mike Morrill, are also members of National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Bill married his wife Pat in 1959, and they have three children and eight grandchildren.
