Strength & Conditioning Coach

Nicole Shattuck joined the Duke Sports Performance staff in Fall 2021 and currently serves as the Sports Performance Coach for the women's lacrosse and rowing programs.

Before Duke, Shattuck was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Bucknell University, where she directed sports performance for women's lacrosse, soccer, tennis, rowing, water polo, volleyball, and men's water polo. She enhanced athlete wellness and recovery by integrating nutrition guidance and social media challenges in collaboration with the athletics department.

Shattuck also contributed to Wofford College's athletic programs, assisting with football strength and conditioning during their Southern Conference Championship year in 2018. Additionally, she managed strength and conditioning for women’s lacrosse, volleyball, and men's and women's tennis programs. Her career also includes an internship at MSU Denver, supporting all 17 varsity programs.

Originally from Rochester, N.Y., Shattuck earned her undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo in 2009, where she was a member of the women's ice hockey team. She holds a master’s degree in Kinesiology from ATSU (2019). Certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CPSS & CSCS), Shattuck also holds certifications from USA Weightlifting, Precision Nutrition and USA Rowing.
