North Carolina '21A transition from good to great, helped Ally Mastroianni lead North Carolina to a NCAA title and a spot on the U.S. team
Ally Mastroianni came into North Carolina as one of the nation's most heralded recruits. The 2015 Heather Leigh Albert Award winner was the No. 3 overall recruit in her high school class after scoring 561 points in her career at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. Her first 2+ years, including the COVID-shortened season, saw her as a quality scorer and a key on draw controls. In her final two seasons, she blossomed into one of the nation's truly elite players.
Mastroianni's versatility as an offensive player and ability in the draw circle will make her an invaluable player on the the final 18-member roster.
