Single Day Tickets Now on Sale for Women's World Championship

By Brian Logue

SPARKS, Md. — Single day tickets for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's Championship, which will be held from June 29 through July 9 at Towson (Md.) University, are now on sale.

The single day tickets begin at $19.95 and include full-day access to the multiple fields being used at Towson University, usually up to 12 games per day. There is also an option for a "Five Pack" each day, providing up to five tickets for a single day for a total cost of just $80 — a savings of just under $20.

The World Lacrosse Women's Championship, originally scheduled for 2021 before being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will feature a record 30 nations competing during the 11-day event which is being held in the United States for the first time since 2005. Teams from six continents will be competing, including Uganda becoming the first team to represent Africa in the senior women's world championship.

Full-event passes, including access to the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, more than 110 games and all of the pageantry of the world championship, are also on sale for $130. Group tickets for 10 or more people are also on sale for $13 per day, per ticket.

The United States is the reigning world champion in women's lacrosse, having defeated Canada in the 2017 final in Guildford, England. This year's U.S. roster features returning All-World selections Taylor Cummings, Meg Douty and Kayla Treanor along with 2021 Tewaaraton winner and NCAA champion Charlotte North. International stars include 2008 and 2009 Tewaaraton winner Hannah Nielsen (Australia), three-time All-World honoree Dana Dobbie (Canada) and All-World midfielder Laura Merrifield (England).
