USA Lacrosse, the governing body for the sport in the United States and a Recognized Sport Organization of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, has announced it is revamping its membership structure to best serve its more than 400,000 annual members and more impactfully fulfill its mission. Here are some questions and answers about the changes:
Q: Why are the membership categories changing?
A: We’ve received feedback from our members that we need to simplify our membership categories. Our hope is that the new categories are simpler and easier to select when you first join.
Q: Why are the membership dues increasing?
A: The last increase in membership dues at USA Lacrosse was implemented in 2017, and that was only the second increase over the last decade. We plan to have smaller increases at regular intervals to maintain a balance with economic growth. These increases will allow us to be in a position to best serve our members and the sport.
Q: When will the new membership dues go into effect?
A: The adjustments will be implemented November 1, 2023.
Q: What are the new membership dues?
- $35 - 22U Player members
- $60 - 23+ Player, Coach, Official, and Fan members
Q: How do I get my add-on T-Shirt and sticker bundle?
A: When you become a member for the first time, or when you renew a current membership, you will be given the opportunity to add-on the exclusive limited-edition bundle at check-out.
Q: I’m an official member, will I receive an NFHS rulebook?
A: As part of your membership benefit, you can request a free digital NFHS rulebook. You can also order a printed version at a deep discount with the USA Lacrosse negotiated rate. This will be available during the join/renew process.
