Stronger Together
In 2023, eight organizations representing lacrosse thought leaders in the United States announced the formation of ELEVATE28 — a group with publicly-stated mission to double the country’s participation in the sport to 4 million annual players by the end of the decade.
Athletes Unlimited, Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, J Tsai Sports, National Lacrosse League, Premier Lacrosse League, USA Lacrosse and World Lacrosse have signed a charter, pledging to unify, communicate and support one another to reach their shared goal.
Why We are Doing This?
- We believe lacrosse changes lives and that every community in America should have access to the game.
How Will We Do This?
- Rally behind each other's efforts, such as National Celebrate Lacrosse Week. This USA Lacrosse-led event included Pickup & Play clinics in 31 states in 2023 with 84 percent of the parents/guardians of the participants having no lacrosse backgrounds.
- Maximize the number of individuals that one stick can effect by working with schools and multi-sport organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs, Parks & Rec Departments and YMCAs to introduce players to the sport.
- Increase exposure to the sport through broadcast and digital channels, helping drive additional investment in the sport's infrastructure.
- Leverage the visibility from lacrosse's inclusion in the LA28 Olympics to spur additional growth.
