NORTHEAST
Eva Ingrilli, Wantagh (N.Y.)
If Eva Ingrilli has proven anything in the early days of her junior season, it’s that the Wantagh attack has a flair for the dramatic. The North Carolina commit helped spark a come-from-behind win over rival North Shore (N.Y.) by scoring the winning goal with 16 seconds left in regulation and then won the ensuing draw control to seal the win.
Ingrilli, who also had two goals and two assists in a season-opening 17-9 win over Syosset (N.Y.), had three goals and one assist in the win. A year ago, Ingrilli had 31 goals, 27 assists, 14 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls as a sophomore. “She took that game over on all ends of the field. She caused big turnovers on the defensive end, won draw controls and scored big-time goals, including the game-winner,” Wantagh coach Robyn Rooney said. “A true baller, she refuses to quit and does whatever the team needs to succeed at all times.”

MID-ATLANTIC
Kori Edmondson, McDonogh (Md.)
Kori Edmondson came up huge for the McDonogh (Md.) offense in a battle of unbeatens. The senior midfielder – ranked the top player in her class by Inside Lacrosse – scored five goals and assisted on another as the Eagles pulled away from Archbishop Spalding (Md.) 16-8. For the week, she posted totals of nine goals, one assist, four draws, one caused turnover, and four ground balls between the win over Spalding and an 11-7 win over St. Mary’s (Md.) earlier. Edmondson comes off a season in which she finished with 68 goals and 21 assists in 16 games, and her play at both ends has McDonogh unbeaten through six games.
