1. The release of this week’s Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20 rankings yesterday included several teams moving based on performances over the weekend. Here is the index of all six divisions:

2. Also yesterday, Michigan goalie Mira Shane took home the Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week award for making 17 saves in the Wolverines’ 8-6 win at nationally ranked Colorado.
On the men’s side, Virginia freshman goalie Patrick Burkinshaw made 24 saves in his first start to help Virginia edge Princeton in overtime, 12-11, and win the Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week award.
3. Both coaches associations and Inside Lacrosse released yesterday their respective polls for this week:

5. Youngstown State University in northeastern Ohio announced it will sponsor varsity women’s lacrosse beginning in the 2020-21 academic year. The Penguins compete in NCAA Division I in the Horizon League and Football Championship Subdivision. They will compete as an independent initially, as Detroit-Mercy represents the only other Horizon League institution to play women’s lacrosse.
