Once again, Washington and Lee played in a matchup of top-five teams. Unlike last week, however, the Generals came out on top by beating Salisbury, 13-7, in a rematch of last year’s NCAA quarterfinal matchup.

After scoring the final goal of the first quarter to tie the score at 2, the Generals scored the first four goals of the second quarter to gain a lead they would never lose. Even when Miranda Mears scored in the third quarter to get Salisbury within one goal, Washington and Lee used another five-goal run to put the game out of reach.

Sophomore Hannah Van Son scored four goals for the Generals, while junior goalie Iman Haddad made 17 saves.

Dickinson is the other big mover in the polls. They jumped over York after picking up two victories this week, including one over previous No. 19 Denison. Red Devils senior Delaney Herbert scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Abby Geary with 45 seconds left.
