Stanford made a 10-spot climb to No. 7 in the USA Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20 this week on the heels of a 13-7 win over then-No. 5 Virginia on Saturday.

The Cardinal fell behind 3-0 before staging a comeback. After Virginia tied the score at 6 early in the third quarter, Stanford ripped off the next seven goals and cruised to victory. Jordyn Case and Aliya Polisky each scored four times.

Princeton is also climbing, moving from No. 16 to No. 11 after topping Loyola on Sunday. It was a punch-for-punch contest, but McKenzie Blake and Jami MacDonald proved too much to handle. They scored four goals apiece, helping overcome four goals and 10 draw controls by Chase Boyle.

Other notables include Clemson, which beat Notre Dame to tie its highest ranked win in program history, and Duke, which enters the Top 20 for the first time this spring at No. 20
