Loyola had to work for it, but once again found itself at the top of the Patriot League after beating Army 13-8 at the Ridley Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.
It was the fourth consecutive Patriot League tournament championship for the Greyhounds and seventh tournament title since its first year in the league in 2014.
Loyola, a 19-5 victor over Army in the regular season, was tied 4-4 with the Black Knights when Jillian Wilson scored with 37 seconds left in the first half and then Sydni Black added a back-breaker with just two seconds left.
Those late goals sparked momentum that spilled over into the second half. Loyola scored four straight goals to open the second half, taking control of the game.
Army did score two straight to get back within 10-6 early in the fourth quarter, but then Black, scored consecutive goals to put Loyola comfortably ahead.

Brigid Duffy lead Army with two goals and two assists. The Black Knights are 15-3 and expected to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.
With 12 straight wins, Loyola (17-2) is one of the hottest teams in the country heading into the tournament.
