Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Meghan Ball is Maryland bound.
Only one non-Terp has won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year since Maryland joined the league in 2014: Meghan Ball. Ball won the award as a defender at Rutgers in 2023. In 2024, she’ll be in a Maryland uniform. The All-American defender transferred to College Park for her graduate year. She calls the chance to play for the sport’s winningest program “almost like a dream.” Read more.

3. High school and youth girls’ rule changes announced.
Changes are coming to high school and youth girls’ lacrosse, including a switch from halves to quarters, similar to the college game. The location for the free position will also be different. Learn more.
4. Team 91 snags 2024, 2025 AA Titles at NLF National Championships.
Team 91 swept the 2024 and 2025 AA Divisions at the NLF National Championships over the weekend. The tournament is considered the marquee one of the summer for boys’ club lacrosse. Sweetlax and Laxachussetts also won two titles apiece. Full story.
An 0-3 start to the Tara Singleton era in Jacksonville felt ominous. But the Dolphins turned it around, won the ASUN title game and returned to the NCAA Tournament. Kenny DeJohn recaps the season.
Ohio State started 3-0 after beating UNC, but the rest of the season fell short of expectations, writes Patrick Stevens.
Asher Nolting of the Cannons is not experiencing a sophomore slump, to say the least. Jack Goods looks back and head in the weekly PLL Notebook.
Yup, that’s a Kylie Ohlmiller sighting. The former Stony Brook great and U.S. Women’s National Team member tore her ACL at last summer’s world championships and sat out AU. Now, the attacker is back to her old tricks, as seen in a scrimmage Monday.
