ATLANTA — Just like the last seven polls, the final regular season edition of the MCLA Division II New Balance Weekly Coaches Poll features Rhode Island comfortably atop the chart.

The Rams (12-1), which enter the CLC tournament as the overwhelming favorites, captured 19 of the 27 total first-place votes.

Cal State San Marcos (12-1), the favorite in the upcoming SLC playoffs, grabbed the remaining first-place nods to remain at No. 2. No. 3 Montana State (12-1) and No. 4 Montana (15-2) are the huge favorites to emerge from the RMLC and PNCLL playoffs, respectively. No. 5 St. Thomas (9-2) and No. 6 Grand Valley State (8-2) will enter the UMLC tournament as top seeds, although the Lakers hold the head-to-head advantage.

There were no new additions to the poll this week.

The seeding and matchups for the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance will be released on Sunday evening. The national tournament runs from May 8-13 at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex.
