Stony Brook has recaptured its swagger, with Ally Kennedy leading the charge.

Kennedy, the Seawolves’ junior midfielder and part of the U.S. women’s national team player pool, put up a combined 22 points in wins over Johns Hopkins, Albany and USC to earn Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

Kennedy’s big week started with four goals and two assists in a 12-9 win over then-No. 13 Johns Hopkins on Tuesday, continued with a seven-goal, three-assist outburst in a 17-9 win over America East rival Albany on Friday and culminated in a five-goal performance (to go with an assist) in a 12-10 win over then-No. 16 USC on Sunday.

The Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week, selected by US Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors, recognizes the top performers in Division I women’s lacrosse throughout the season.
