Kyla Sears has made a habit of coming up big when Princeton most needs her. Whether it was the seven-point effort in a win over Penn State on Feb. 27 or the eight-point game in a one-goal victory over Stony Brook on March 9, she’s stepped up for the Tigers.
That trend continued last week, as Sears turned in back-to-back strong performances to give Princeton a 2-0 week.
Tuesday, Sears scored four times and added two assists to lead the Tigers to the 15-6 victory over Villanova. To follow it up, she scored twice and had seven assists in a comeback win over Dartmouth.
Down 12-11 in the second half, Sears tied the game with a goal and assisted on the final two Princeton goals to fuel the 14-12 Ivy League win. Her great week earns her Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.
