Since the Warrior Burn equipment line made its debut in 2014, the products have been tailored to a certain type of player in each iteration. The new Burn XP2 collection is designed specifically to enhance the speed and power of a player.
Whether you are a downhill dodging midfielder shooting from range and on the run or an LSM looking to flip the field on the competition, the fourth generation of the Burn promises to give you Xtreme Power.
Warrior refreshed the XP2-O head for midfielders and sharpshooting attackmen. This head is much stiffer than its predecessor due to new Therma Loc+ plastic and added X-Truss sidewall stabilizer. In addition to increasing the strength of the head, Warrior’s engineers implemented an extreme offset and throat pinch to provide consistent power and accuracy.
The XP2 line also includes a defensive head. The XP2-D is perfect for transitional midfielders that need a bit more beef through the head for hard checks and blocking shots.
For the stringing community, both heads feature new Spine Track technology along the bottom rails. The spokes along each string hole provide mesh/string protection that allows you to string a secure pocket with ease.
The Burn XP2 Carbon shaft has gone through a bit of a makeover as well. New Star Matrix grip provides unmatched control of the handle and slides with ease when switching hands — without tearing up the palm of your gloves. With an improved flex profile and increased lateral stiffness, this shaft will add power and accuracy to your shot and weighs in at just 130 grams.
To complete the set, the Burn XP2 glove now features the Jet Stream Palm system with added ventilation holes on the fingers to keep your hands fresh and cool while playing. Secondly, the shortened cuff was implemented to allow more mobility and flex for players like Warrior athletes Trevor Baptiste and Jeff Teat.
Just in time for the holidays, the Burn XP2 line is available at at these local lacrosse retailers.
