Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Ashley Humphrey is transferring to North Carolina.

Ashley Humphrey, who broke the NCAA’s single-season assist mark with 88 helpers in 2022, has transferred to UNC, the school announced on X yesterday. Ashley will join her younger sister Chloe, who considered the top recruit in the current true freshman class. All three Humphrey sisters will have donned the Carolina blue after the 2024 season — Nicole won a national championship with the Tar Heels in 2022 but departed for USC for her grad year.

2. Brian Phipps announced his retirement.

Whipsnakes goalie Brian Phipps has announced his retirement after 14 years of playing professional lacrosse. Phipps was a part of the Whipsnakes team that won the PLL title in the league’s inaugural 2019 season and also competed on several USA Lacrosse training teams throughout his career. Read his full announcement.

3. The NLL announced a new grassroots initiative.
