After six trips to the NCAA Final Four, Notre Dame will bring the national championship trophy back to South Bend. The Irish jumped out to a 6-1 lead over top-seeded Duke by halftime and held off a third-quarter surge from the Blue Devils in a 13-9 win Monday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Irish join Denver (2015) as the only two teams not from the eastern seaboard to win an NCAA championship. Full recap.
