1. Limestone wins SAC title.
Spurred on by three goals and two assists from Jason Thomfohrde, Limestone beat Lenoir-Rhyne 14-8 to win the SAC title Monday night. The win avenges last year's title-game loss and ends Lenoir-Rhyne’s two-year reign as SAC champion.
2. Who’s No. 1 in Division I men’s lacrosse?
Duke, for now — at least according to the latest Nike/USA Lacrosse Top 20. No. 2 Virginia and No. 3 Notre Dame round out the top three as teams gear up for the postseason when things will get sorted out for good. See the full list.
3. Boston College is rising in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I women’s rankings.
The Eagles won their first ACC title in school history and have jumped to No. 2 in the latest Nike/USA Lacrosse Top 20. Northwestern was off, but the Wildcats enter the Big Ten tournament as the conference frontrunner and the consensus No. 1 team in the land. Full rankings.
4. Rollins surges in men’s Division II rankings; Consistency a theme for the women.
Rollins surged to No. 2 in the Division II Men’s Top 20, and Florida Southern is up six spots to No. 10. But Le Moyne still remains No. 1.
On the women’s side, the top eight are the same as last week. Wingate enters the top 10.
5. Top teams hold form in Division III rankings.
No. 1 Salisbury and No. 2 Tufts are still atop the Division III Men’s Top 20. RIT is still No. 3 but might be the scariest team as the calendar flips to May. Learn why.
