Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Lyle Thompson announces plans to step away from PLL for the 2023 season.

One of the sport’s most recognizable stars, Lyle Thompson, announced he would not participate in the 2023 PLL season in an Instagram post on Monday. Thompson led the PLL in points (44) as a member of the Cannons in 2022.

“For me, the game should always be medicine, and it comes with instruction to be played with respect, a clear mind, and enjoyment. I want to follow these instructions and sometimes that requires rest,” Thompson wrote. Read the full statement from Thompson.

2. Rewind the weekend that was.

What a weekend, no? Upsets, epic comebacks and one-goal games highlighted a wire-to-wire weekend of excitement in college lacrosse across all three divisions. USA Lacrosse Magazine contributors relived it all so that you can too.

One of last year’s quarterfinalists is still in the mix in Division I men’s lacrosse, writes Patrick Stevens.

Known for its blowouts, Le Moyne showed it could win close games in the Division II men’s tournament.

Thrillers were the order of the day in Division III men’s lacrosse.

There were some massive surprises in the Division III women’s tournament, including a pair of unranked teams punching tickets to the Sweet 16.

3. NLL playoffs roar toward championship.

The NLL Bandits will play for an NLL title. Who will they face? That’s up for grabs in a wild West. Jack Goods looks at the battle for the West title between the Colorado Mammoth and Calgary Roughnecks, which will be decided in Saturday’s game three.
