Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

  1. Notre Dame ends the season No. 1 in Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I men’s Top 20
Who else would it be? A week after winning the NCAA championship for the first time in program history, the Irish were officially named the top team in the final Nike/USA Lacrosse rankings. National runner-up Duke is also No. 2 in the top 20, while No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Penn State and No. 5 Johns Hopkins complete the top 5. See the full rankings.

  2. Northwestern the no-doubt No. 1 in Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I women’s Top 20
The Wildcats lost their first game and won the next 21, including the NCAA championship — their first since 2021 and eighth overall. To the champions go the spoils, including the No. 1 ranking in the most important Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I women’s top 20 of the season. Boston College finished second. No. 3 Syracuse, No. 4 Denver and No. 5 UNC were also in the top five. See the full rankings.

  3. Relive the first week of the PLL season — it’s fun.
The first week of the PLL season included three one-goal games, an overtime thriller and highlight-reel goals. Jack Goods recaps it all in the Week 1 PLL notebook.
