Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Tuesday, Jan. 10

Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The LaxCon schedule has been revealed.

USA Lacrosse unveiled the 2023 LaxCon slate on Monday. The event, which runs from Jan. 20-23 in Baltimore, will feature sessions with world champions Kylie Ohlmiller, Charlotte North and Ally Mastroianni, Harvard head coach Gerry Byrne, PLL players and more. 2. No. 20 Saint Joseph’s has high hopes heading into 2023.

Saint Joe’s won the Northeast Conference and ended the 2022 season at No. 2 20 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Top 20. And that’s exactly where the Hawks begin 2023. Saint Joseph’s brings back eight starters and eight of its top nine scorers as it attempts to become the A-10’s first men’s lacrosse champion. (The conference is sponsoring the sport for the first time.) Patrick Stevens has the preview.

3. Richmond’s veteran offense has few question marks.

The Spiders enter the 2023 season at No. 20 in the rankings with all five of their top scorers back on the field, headlined by 50-goal scorer Lindsey Frank (50 G, 22 A). Defense is another story — head coach Anne Harrington and her staff know Richmond has plenty of cleats to fill with two starting defenders and starting netminder Delaney Galvin gone. Who will step up? Harrington gave some hints.
