Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, May 18

May 18, 2023
Kenny DeJohn

Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Ohio State announced Wednesday afternoon that Amy Bokker will not be back as its head women’s lacrosse coach.

Bokker’s four-year tenure in Columbus had its ups and downs, though the Buckeyes stumbled to 5-12 in 2023. Overall, Ohio State was 23-32 (6-18 Big Ten) under her leadership.

More here.

2. The final MCLA rankings of the season are in.

In Division I, it’s first-time champion Concordia at the top. Concordia is exiting the MCLA with a crown and a No. 1 ranking. The Golden Eagles move to NCAA Division II next year.

In Division II, Dayton is on top after capturing its second national title in eight years. The unanimous No. 1 selection, Dayton earned it after becoming the lowest seed (No. 9) to ever win an MCLA title.

3. It’s Division I women’s quarterfinal Thursday.

Clear your schedules (if you already haven’t). Today’s four-game slate begins at noon Eastern, so make sure you’re ready for it to go down.

We have a handy primer for you to do just that. More here.
