Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. We’re just a few days from the opening faceoff of the PLL season.
And so the PLL ramped its promotion up on Wednesday, revealing new uniforms for each of its eight clubs and announcing 25-man rosters out of training camp in Albany.
We also continued our PLL preview series, going team-by-team to get you prepared for Saturday. Yesterday, Phil Shore previewed both the Chaos and the Chrome.
2. Tewaaraton Award winners will be crowned tonight in Washington, D.C.
It seems as if the woman who will walk away with the award is a slam dunk — Northwestern’s Izzy Scane. She had 99 goals, 35 assists and led the Wildcats to a national championship.
On the men’s side, our pick is Notre Dame’s Pat Kavanagh, but it’s an interesting conversation. Neither Kavanagh nor Brennan O’Neill impressed in the national title game, and we can’t forget about a lurking Connor Shellenberger, either.
3. The IWLCA announced its Division I and Division III players of the year.
