Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The biggest news of Wednesday came in the early evening.

Virginia announced it was hiring former Towson head coach Sonia LaMonica to replace Julie Myers. Myers, who recently accepted a position as the CEO of the One Love Foundation and will start in September, led the ‘Hoos to 27 straight NCAA tournament appearances before resigning in June.

LaMonica has had success in the CAA and was a former high-level player at both Maryland and with Australia at the international level.

2. Following a gold-medal run with the U.S. team, Jack Rowlett has a new job.

One of the top close defensemen in the Premier Lacrosse League, Rowlett spent the past three seasons as a volunteer assistant at Georgetown but will now be an assistant at Boston U.

3. McDonogh (Md.) has found Taylor Cummings’ replacement.

The Eagles will be led by Megan Nicotra, who was Cummings’ defensive coordinator in 2023. Nicotra was a goalie at captain at Duke and was a member of the U.S. women’s national team.

4. Sammy White took college lacrosse by storm in the Final Four.
