Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The parity continues in the PLL.

Friday saw two more one-goal games in the PLL, that’s eight in the league’s first 12 games, and the two unbeaten teams are both unbeaten no longer. The league’s eight teams are all within a game of each other as the league heads into a two-week break for the World Lacrosse men’s championship, which begins Wednesday night with rivals USA and Canada meeting in San Diego at 7 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2.

Matt Kavanagh gave the Cannons their first win under new coach Brian Holman to cap Friday’s action before a packed house on Ohio State’s new lacrosse stadium, a 14-12 win over Chrome.

Earlier on Friday, the Waterdogs trailed 6-0 and never lead until Connor Kelly scored with 10 seconds left for a 19-18 win over Atlas.

Saturday the two unbeaten teams going down as Chaos beat the Archers 15-10 behind 19 saves from Blaze Riorden and the Whipsnakes came out on fire in an 18-11 win over the Redwoods. Will Manny had three goals (1 two-pointer) and three assists.

2. Rivals are finally teammates.

Trevor Baptiste and TD Ierlan rewrote the NCAA record book during their respective college careers and now the one-time rivals are finally teammates. They’ll form the U.S. team’s faceoff tandem at the world championship.

3. Danny Logan is becoming the best at what he does.

Danny Logan has become known simply as Danny “Lockdown.” He’ll be in a critical role for the U.S. team at the world championship.
