Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. The Ivy League flexes again.
A year after it sent six teams to the NCAA men’s tournament, the Ivy League started 2023 off with a strong start. Penn knocked off Georgetown in a Top 10 matchup, while Cornell, Princeton and Yale all picked up solid wins. The Post-Week Tailgate looks at the week in men’s lacrosse.
2. Orange Crush.The Syracuse women continued their hot start to 2023, beating rival Maryland 20-11 behind an 11-point day from Meaghan Tyrrell to improve to 2-0. The Sunday Slide looks back on more from the women’s lacrosse action over the weekend.
3. The Greyhounds are running.
Loyola has opened the men’s lacrosse season with wins over reigning NCAA champion Maryland and archrival Johns Hopkins. What’s going on with the Greyhounds?
4. Northwestern wins battle of the stars.
There was plenty of starpower – new and old – in Evanston, Illinois on Sunday as Northwestern edged Boston College 15-14 in a thriller. Charlotte Varnes won onsite for coverage.

5. A milestone for the ages.
Salisbury head coach Jim Berkman won his 600th game on Saturday as the Gulls beat Scranton 25-10. He is the first NCAA coach, men’s or women’s, to reach the milestone. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2013.

Jamaica will be host to the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Sixes Cup from Nov. 9-11 in Kingston.
