Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix For Friday, Feb. 10
Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. New heart, same heart.
Dan Arestia tells the inspiring story of Ryan Scoble, a defenseman at Mercyhurst who is back on the field this weekend despite receiving a heart transplant 22 months ago. Despite flatlining for 11 seconds, Scoble persevered and surprised even his own doctors on his journey back.
2. It’ll be an historic first D-I game for the Lindenwood women.
Lindenwood, the 2021 Division II national champion, opens a new chapter in program history Friday when it hosts Cal as a Division I team. Better yet, 2,500 tickets have already been requested. Lindenwood is the only Division I team in Missouri.
3. Clemson also embarks on its first Division I season this weekend.
The Tigers, writes David Hood of Tiger Net, are embracing the fun while balancing high expectations for year one. They open Saturday against Wofford.
