Junior goalie Dan Morris flipped the script for Maryland, helping the No. 2 Terps avoid an upset and secure a 13-12 triple overtime win over No. 15 Rutgers on the road.

With a clutch save at the end of regulation to force overtime after the Scarlet Knights scored back-to-back goals, tying it 12-12, Morris made four more saves in three overtime periods for the win and Epoch/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

After failing to record a save in the first quarter against Rutgers, Morris finished with a career-high 16 saves.

The win marked Maryland’s third in nine days and clinched the Terps a berth in the Big Ten Tournament.
