The first update to the USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25 was most affected by Mid-Atlantic Region results.

McDonogh (Md.) won its opener to remain atop the Top 25, followed by five Northeast teams yet to play. St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.) made big waves with a win over a Stone Ridge (Md.) team that had knocked off former top-five team St. Paul’s (Md.). From unranked, the Saints soared to No. 7 and have some tough games ahead to prove that they belong that high.

Stone Ridge also moved up, as did Good Counsel (Md.) on the strength of a pair of Top 25 wins.

There are no other new teams in the Top 25 this week, but that could change when Northeast teams begin play this week.
