Nyack (N.Y.) is the lone newcomer in the latest USA Lacrosse Public High School Girls' National Top 25.

The Redhawks dismantled previous No. 9 New Canaan (Conn.) by a 17-9 score Wednesday. Nyack has outscored opponents 116-52 thus far with no opponent staying closer than five goals. They’ll travel out of state to take on Summit (N.J.) in another big game.

Chatham (N.J.) also made a giant move. The Cougars took a 5-3 decision over Summit (N.J.), which had been ranked fourth. They also defeated private power Sacred Heart Greenwich (Conn.) for another impressive win. No. 5 Chatham is unbeaten through seven games and has allowed only 38 goals.

The stage is set for a huge showdown in the Mid-Atlantic that carries lofty national implications as well. National No. 2 Manchester Valley (Md.) travels to No. 3 Severna Park (Md.) for a top-flight matchup Thursday that could go either way. Both are unbeaten with impressive wins.

Darien (Conn.) remains atop the national and Northeast standings. Its first loss came against national No. 1 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.). The Blue Wave look to get back on track against Greenwich (Conn.) on Thursday before playing Manhasset (N.Y.) on Saturday.

Radnor (Pa.) returns to the ranking in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Cape Henlopen (Del.) finished in a tie with Marriott’s Ridge (Md.) this week, and Radnor had a strong showing despite losing to Archbishop Carroll (Pa.).

Both the South Region and Midwest Region did not have any changes. Cambridge (Ga.) and Milton (Ga.) are 1-2 in the South still, while in the Midwest, it’s New Trier (Ill.) ahead of Olentangy Liberty (Ohio).

The West Region welcomed two teams. No. 8 Torrey Pines (Calif.) has a deceptive record after taking on a daunting schedule. Lake Oswego (Ore.) used a narrow win over Grant (Ore.) to propel itself into the rankings at No. 10.
