MID-ATLANTIC

Makenna Salta, Archbishop Spalding (Md.)

Salta was injured last year and could not play for the Cavaliers. The sophomore lefty made an immediate impact in her debut for Spalding against defending IAAM champion St. Paul’s (Md.) in their season opener. With the Cavs trailing 8-7, she fired in a free-position goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. Then she sealed one of the biggest wins in program history as she worked her way in from the right side for the game-winner with 2:32 left in overtime. She added a draw control and caused turnover. Suffice to say, the Cavaliers are happy she’s healthy again.

Also notable: Emily Alperstein, St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.); Maeve Cavanaugh, Archbishop Spalding (Md.); Caroline Chisholm, Agnes Irwin (Pa.); Ella Davis, Archbishop Spalding (Md.); Ava Fossati, McDonogh (Md.); Mak Myers, Penn Charter (Pa.); Kenzie Rassas, Georgetown Visitation (D.C.); Quinn Whitaker, Episcopal (Pa.)

SOUTH

Jillian Murphy, Anderson (Texas)

Murphy has played a huge role in Anderson’s unbeaten start. She has 28 goals and 14 assists in six games, including a seven-goal, four-assist effort versus St. Andrew’s (Texas). She is committed to play at Colorado.

Also notable: Katie Fisher, Plant (Fla.); Claire Witt, Athens Drive (N.C.)

MIDWEST

Sophie Mock, Carmel (Ind.)

Mock was widely expected to be one of the Midwest's top players this season. So what she has done so far is stellar but no surprise. In the Greyhounds' season opener, Mock led all scorers with four goals and three assists as her team notched an impressive victory over Sacred Heart, always one of Kentucky's top programs. Five days later, Mock was no less impressive with eight goals and two assists in a win over Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.). Carmel has 31 goals thus far. Of those 31, Mock has scored 12 and assisted on five more.

Also notable: Leighton Spears, Kentucky Country Day (Ky.); Elle Tomalia, Carmel (Ind.)

WEST

Riley Rivera, ThunderRidge (Colo.)

Rivera helped lift ThunderRidge (Colo.) to its first victory of the season over then-No. 4 Colorado Academy (Colo.) in a 12-11 win. The Florida Southern commit netted a match-high five goals, recorded two assists and had one ground ball against the Mustangs.

Also notable: Kayla Agarie, Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.); Phoebe Oliven, St. Ignatius (Calif.); Brynn Perkins, Foothill (Calif.); Amanda Stevens, Valor Christian (Colo.); Shayla Takkunen, Oak Ridge (Calif.)
