Cambridge (Ga.) Stuns In-State Foe, Enters USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25

Cambridge (Ga.) made quite an impact as the only newcomer in the USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25. All the Bears did was hand Milton (Ga.) its first in-state loss in three years, and that came one week after Milton was a winner over Mid-Atlantic contender Maryvale (Md.).

The top 10 teams did not change from last week. None of them lost a game, but only four of them were in action this week. At this point, not playing almost seems more beneficial as the next 15 teams keep muddying the picture with every win or loss. Once the Northeast Region ramps up, there hopefully will be a much clearer picture of the Top 25.

Maryvale picked up a pair of tight wins to bounce back from the Milton loss and keep a ranked spot while Cambridge slides into the No. 25 spot despite a pair of earlier losses. IMG Academy (Fla.) moves up ahead of Maryvale as a higher regionally ranked team than Cambridge (and Milton).

No. 13 American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) did not change despite suffering their first loss because it came at the hands of No. 6 St. Paul’s (Md.) and it was a closely contested game.

Stone Ridge (Md.) is finally getting healthy and put together a five-win week that included upending Agnes Irwin (Pa.). That win also helped shuffle the rankings with Penn Charter (Pa.) getting a bump from having beaten Stone Ridge earlier.

Scroll below for this week's USA Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25 and Regional Top 10 rankings, with each team's previous ranking denoted in parenthesis.
